New route between Croston, Mawdesley and Chorley

I am delighted that after nearly two years of fighting for it, Lancashire County Council are reinstating the direct bus route between Croston, Mawdesley and Chorley. I hope this will provide help and convenience for many constituents.

Western Drive flooding update

Meeting to discuss Green Lane Link

Had a very useful and productive meeting with Roads Minister Jesse Norman to discuss funding for Green Lane Link. The Green Lane Link is a vital and much needed road, and I will continue fighting for its funding as I have done since 2011.

The Manchester Bombing

Yesterday morning, like many others, I woke to the news that the largest ever terrorist attack in the North of England had taken place in the Manchester Arena.  Young people and children, who should have been enjoying the excitement of a pop concert, were among the dead and injured.

I took Dr Therese Coffey, Minister for Flood to visit Penwortham and Alt-Crossens using the visit to so that I could fully explain my concerns about the plans for the Environment Agency to hand the pumps over in 2019 and the need for vital flood defences in Penwortham.
