Seema Kennedy welcomes the Conservative plan for a stronger local economy.

On Thursday 8th January Seema Kennedy, Prospective MP for South Ribble, joined the Prime Minister, David Cameron MP, and Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne MP, in the North West to hear about Conservative plans to build a stronger economy and a forge an economic powerhouse throughout the North of England.

Seema Kennedy hears about help in housing.

Seema Kennedy has met with the Chief Executive of Progress Housing Group, Jacqueline De Rose, to discuss social housing needs in South Ribble and the help offered to more vulnerable groups, such as older people. She heard about the different accommodation types Progress Housing has in its housing stock and how the schemes it runs for its more vulnerable tenants have been getting its customers into work, training or back into education.

Seema Kennedy: having a disability should not hold you back from running your own business.

In the run up to Small Business Saturday Seema Kennedy wrote to the local newspapers about her recent meeting with Joe Brown, a young man with Asperger Syndrome, and his mum at their home. Joe has not let his disability hold him back and runs his own business in Penwortham selling eggs door-to-door. He has franchised his business to Richard Inglis, a young man with a hearing impairment, selling eggs in Wheelton.

Seema Kennedy joins protest against Mawdesley Solar Farm

Prospective Conservative MP for Mawdesley, Eccleston, Bretherton and Croston, Seema Kennedy, recently met with organisers from the Solar Farm Protest Group to hear their concerns about the proposed siting of the 60 acre solar array on rural farm land in Mawdesley and Heskin.
