Surgery

My surgery was held at the Leyland branch of McDonald’s. I met with constituents to discuss a variety of issues they might be having and to see if I can offer any help. If anyone needs a surgery appointment they can contact my office on 01772 619266.

I met with BSRIA to learn more about its new location in Bamber Bridge – I’m delighted that they are bringing their expertise and innovation to the local area. I am sure they will be a great employer.

I met with Amanda Boyle of Blackpool NHS Teaching Hospital to discuss Healthier Lancashire – I will continue to remain abreast of their plans for sustainability and transformation of health care in South Ribble.

Meeting with Prisons Minister Sam Gyimah

Met with Prisons Minister Sam Gyimah for a very important and pertinent discussion on the conditions for both staff and inmates at HMP Wymott and HMP Garth. I am watching the situation carefully and will continue to engage with the minister regarding this issue.

Meeting with Chief Inspector Adamson

I met with Chief Inspector Adamson to thank him and his brave colleagues at the Lancashire Constabulary for the tireless work they do to keep us safe in South Ribble.

I was delighted to meet with the team at NCompass who do wonderful work in their support of carers, young people and the provision of advocacy services. The extraordinary difference they make to disadvantaged people’s life ought to be celebrated.

Great Health Mela in Leyland

I attended the Great Health Mela in Leyland: it was brilliant to see all the innovative work that is being done in the growing field of healthcare and wellbeing, including Galloway’s wonderful work highlighting the impact of shared spaces on the blind and partially sighted.

Meeting with Tesco bosses in Penwortham

I met with representatives from Tesco to discuss both the residents’ concerns about access issues and the opportunities for the local community at the new branch in Penwortham, where building has just started.

New route between Croston, Mawdesley and Chorley

I am delighted that after nearly two years of fighting for it, Lancashire County Council are reinstating the direct bus route between Croston, Mawdesley and Chorley. I hope this will provide help and convenience for many constituents.
